Hi! Welcome back to my blog! Today, I will be talking about spring cleaning. Recently, my family and I have been cleaning a lot of stuff in the house, such as clothes, toys and other random things. We have been cleaning every single cupboard and drawer in every single room, up and down. As part of this process, we have found so many things that we never knew existed!
By spring cleaning, we have cleaned up so much of the house, and it has never looked better! There is now so much free space in the house, and it’s really nice having a place to put all my things in properly.
Personally, I think that spring cleaning is really important for two reasons. Firstly, I think that it’s important to give back to the community. After we collect all the clothes and toys that are in good condition, we usually donate it to charity, and that’s a huge part of it. Giving back to the community and others who might not have as many opportunities and privileges is truly special. You get to give back to people who might be underprivileged, and I think that’s really important for humans to do. That shows compassion, and giving back to the society that we all get so much out of.
The second reason that spring cleaning is so important is because it made me realise that it’s important for us as consumers to spend our money wisely. It’s not good for us, or for the environment to buy too many things. Let me explain. We as humans should spend our money wisely, and buy things that will benefit our lives, instead of things that serve no purpose. We want to spend our hard earned money on things that we need, and will help and perhaps serve important purposes in life.
The question is: how does spending money affect the environment? When you spend money unwisely, then it’s not good for the environment, also because the limited resources of the planet go into manufacturing these items. They could be used by someone who needs them more.
In conclusion, we have made a decision as a family to spring clean on a regular basis with some changes and also to be careful about what we buy going forward, and I would encourage all of you to do the same.
