Hi! Welcome back to my blog! Today, I’m going to be talking about an incredible experience I had recently. We were fortunate enough to go to the Eras Tour, and it was honestly the best night of my life!
I have been a Swiftie for almost a year and I’ve really enjoyed her music. Music has always been a huge part of my life, but I had not realised how much I could admire an artist. I obviously love her music, but there’s so much more to it! One of the things that really makes her music special is the fact that some of her ideas are complex. Taylor has amazing ideas and visions for each song, and that really makes it stand out. She’s not only a singer, but a lyricist too.
I also noticed that she has really strong values that she lives by. She tries her best to be kind, caring, funny and perseverant. This also reminds of a quote of hers, which is “No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind”. I think that quote shows just how much she values kindness and compassion.
Another value that I think is important to her is hard work. No matter what your job is, you’re going to need to work hard, and she really works hard. Two days into the pandemic, she started writing her album Folklore, which is truly one of my favourite albums of hers. She could have taken a break during the pandemic as all her shows were cancelled, but she worked on something that she was passionate about and enjoyed. Also, for the Eras Tour, she practised for 3.5 hours on her treadmill singing every single song on the setlist every single day for 6 months.
That’s part of why Taylor Swift is so successful. She not only works extremely hard, but also keeps music close to her heart. My view is that it is really important to have a connection with what you love, which is why she turned it into something huge. What started as a small hobby, turned into a career. Not just any career, but the biggest music artist that is out there right now, and all that came from passion and love for music.
Now, I’m going to talk about the preparation for the Eras Tour. There is so much planning that goes into this, because you have to find outfits, make bracelets, listen to the setlist on repeat, learn all the chants, memorise all the songs and more. The point is, you need to prepare a lot for this concert, if you want to make the most out of it. I really enjoyed making the bracelets and listening to the songs, because it felt like it was part of the experience too, and I think it’s special that way. The planning and anticipation is truly part of the whole experience of the concert.
In my opinion, the concert was the best night of my life, and there are multiple aspects to that. Firstly, the sets and production. For every song, the sets were incredible. They were unique for each song, and it really made the performance even more magical. From the cracks of glass in Delicate, to the huge puffs of smoke in I Knew You Were Trouble, to the iconic Folklore Cabin, it really blew me away. It also made me realise how much effort it would have taken to plan all of the sets and production.
The other huge aspect that made the night so special was Taylor Swift herself. She is an amazing performer, and really does her best to make it the most incredible night for every one of her fans. No matter what the song is, she performs at her best and gives it her all. Her vocals are incredible, rich with emotion and passion.
One thing that really makes Taylor Swift stand out from other artists is her worth ethic. She performs for 3.5 hours with no breaks, and changes in practically a minute. Finally, I think her compassion was shown and expressed at her concert. She showed gratitude and kindness to her backup dancers, and gave them a lot of credit. Taylor always used the term “us” when talking about the tour, and that really showed how much she values her team and the people who support her. I truly think that Taylor Swift is an incredible artist, and nothing can beat hard work and passion.
