Unveiling the Twists and Turns: A Good Girl's Guide to Murder Book Review

I love books. Ever since I was little, I have loved reading. Whether it was a book about unicorns flying over rainbows, or magical genies who granted wishes to anyone worthy, I always enjoyed it. When I was a baby, my mom used to read me lots of books.

As I grew older, I developed an interest in especially fantasy and realistic fiction novels. However, I’ve started to try and expand my reading interests and try experimenting with different genres.

Recently, I read a thriller, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, and I really enjoyed it. This book is about a girl by the name of Pippa Fitz-Amobi. She and her family live in a small town called Little Kilton. She and everyone else know exactly what happened 5 years ago, where teenager Sal Singh murdered his girlfriend Andie Bell. Just days after Andie’s sudden disappearance, he is found dead in the woods, with Andie’s blood underneath his fingernails and her phone in his pocket. Therefore, the police ruled Andie’s death as a homicide, killed by Sal Singh.

However, 5 years later, Pippa is skeptical and decided to look into this, believing that Sal was innocent. The entire book is focused on Pippa investigating Andie’s death and discovering the truth with her partner in crime, Sal’s brother, Ravi Singh.

I truly loved this book, and found it very thrilling. I also thought that it was very well written, and there was one thing that I found to be a special element in the book. There were all these little details that you wouldn’t think meant much at first, but looking back, made so much sense, and also made you think: Why didn’t I think of that earlier? That’s part of the fun reading a mystery novel. There are so many plot twists and secrets revealed. The big moment where you gasp realizing who the killer was. That’s what this book was for me. Full of all these little and big things and that made it really special. This was my first thriller, and it was fantastic. I believe that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is an amazing book, and I hope you all read it soon.
